JOB OFFER – Mental health worker full time with great benefits

Work schedule: Monday to Friday from 9 am to 4 pm.

MAIN FUNCTIONS:

  • Develop a goal and plan for each client;
  • Development and monitoring of individual service plans;
  • Supervise intake of medication;
  • Works in collaboration with professionals, family, etc.;
  • Provide skills training, social reintegration, hygiene and quality of life;
  • Crisis intervention;
  • Accompaniment of residents as needed;
  • Designs and leads 2 to 4 recreational activities weekly for the residents.

KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:

  • Great autonomy and initiative;
  • Empathy and good listening skills;
  • Able to work well within a team;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Understanding and interest in working within a community model of mental health.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • University degree in social work, psychology or specialized education, or two year’s experience in the field;
  • Experience and knowledge working with an adult psychiatric clientele;
  • Driver’s license required;
  • Excellent communication skills both in French and English, written and spoken.
